I called the Texas Workforce Commission and asked if I would be eligible to recieve the fourth tier (EB) Extended Benefits up to 20 weeks and the customer service rep told me that the Texas Unemployment Rate has to be at 8.5% since currently stands at 8.3% in Texas they would not be able to grant me another extension at this time. She did say to continue filing every two weeks which I am doing in addition to faxing the 6 job searches every 2 weeks. I've been unemployed since late May 2009. Am I going to be eligible to receive another extension and if so when? Also, when does our state calculate the Texas Unemployment Rate is it every quarter of the year every 4 months?
