Hi!
I have a non-redeemable GIC coming up for renewal can I roll it into a TFSA without paying taxes on it
@Louise – Is the GIC currently in a non-registered account? (ie not in an RRSP?).
If so, there won’t be any tax due if you contribute it to a TFSA.
Is there any way to invest in mortgages or any other kind of paper notes in the TFSA? I have access to high quality heavily discounted 2nd mortgages which I currently own, or will soon own, which I could buy with funds already in my TFSA, providing a real return of over 20% per year, then huge capital gains in the next 3-5 years.
Hello
I will be receiving a severance and understand I can roll over a portion into an RRSP given there is room. Can I also roll over a portion to a TFSA ?
Mike,
I am working for a company where I can buy their shares on a bi-monthly basis. Is there a way I can designate this purchase as a TFSA transaction. I have a questtrade account.
